The security fencing around the Isle of Man holiday home of Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been vandalised.

Fencing posts were thrown from the cliff on to the rocks below and wire fencing around the perimeter of the house was cut.

Clarkson is engaged in a battle with ramblers over public right of way access across the land.

Ramblers claim the presenter diverted a footpath but Clarkson says there has never been any access to right of way across the land.

Talking to the Daily Mail, Clarkson's wife Francie said: "We have around 40 acres of coastland which we bought without rights of way on it. We allow people to walk around it,' she said.

"Where we blocked it off was so they could not walk right by our house - and that's where they have pulled down the fence."

Isle of Man police are asking anyone with information on the incident to come forward.ADNFCR-3337-ID-800483549-ADNFCR
