We are pleased to say that Jacksons Fencing has completed its company wide assessment for Cyber Essentials and has renewed its certification for another year.

Cyber Essentials is a government backed minimum standard scheme that protects against the most common cyber attacks. The certification is thorough and extensive, and because of this it helps to protect organisations against 80% of attacks, helping to reduce the risk of business disruption due to downtime caused by attacks.

Dealing with sensitive customer information, Cyber Essentials is vital for us to achieve in order to keep our customers safe, protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data stored on device that connect to the internet.

To achieve certification, organisations must complete a self-assessment questionnaire which is submitted for assessment by the scheme. It includes a set of government set baseline controls to improve organisations’ defences and demonstrate their commitment to cybersecurity.

The Cyber Essentials scheme addresses the most common internet-based attacks that use widely available tools and that need very little skill for the attacker to use.

We provide solutions for many data centres and other businesses where this is a requirement so it is important for us to complete this assessment each year and renew our certification.
