York school turns to high security fencing following vandalism

York school turns to high security fencing following vandalism
High security fencing is to be installed as a school in York to help try and fend off vandalism and trespassers - both of which have been a problem recently.

The border of the Wheldrake With Thorganby CE Primary School will be two metres high from now on after graffiti was daubed onto several school buildings and other vandalism was committed.

Furthermore, intruders are thought to be running on the school's rooftops and banging on the windows during lessons, the York Press reports.

The school will introduce high security fencing to improve the security for pupils, and it is thought this will allow for open space to be used as an outdoor classroom in the future.

Meanwhile, new school fencing for an Isle of Man secondary school will be installed in the future as the project is on track for opening in September next year, according to the Isle of Man Today.
