What do our fencing guarantees mean?

The Jacksons Fencing 25 year guarantee for our range of steel and timber products is the longest guarantee available for both steel and timber fencing in the UK. It represents our confidence in our products, and starts from the moment the goods arrive at your site, lasting for two-and-a-half decades.

How does it work?

Ultimately, a 25 year guarantee means better quality products. Investing in high quality fencing saves costs in the long run, and also helps the environment, as products are crafted to last longer and require less maintenance; fewer replacements, and less waste going into landfill.

Above all, the Jacksons fencing 25-year guarantee gives you peace of mind that your Jacksons fence or gate will be serviceable for at least 25 years subject to normal maintenance and proper use.

Jacksons Fencing offers two types of guarantee according to which material is used: the 25 Year Service Life Guarantee which covers steel products, and the 25-Year Jakcure® Guarantee which covers timber products. Both guarantees cover your products from the moment the product is delivered to site.

Steel fencing and gates

The Service Life Guarantee covers all manufactured steel fencing, gates, and access control products and Polyester Powder Coated products against faulty coatings or manufacture. Jacksons Fencing will cover customers for any defects that occur as a result of the manufacturing process. To comply, any steel which is cut or drilled on site must be treated with a good quality zinc rich coating.

All our steel is hot dip galvanised or zinc alloy coated for long life and all fixings are galvanised or stainless steel. Steel products can be additionally polyester powder coated at our own headquarters in Kent, which is much more durable than painting.

Timber fencing and gates

The Jakcure® Guarantee applies the same cover but to timber fencing, gates, and landscaping products, against fence failure as a result of dry and wet rot or insect attack. All Jacksons Fencing timber is kiln-dried and vacuum pressure-treated and then constructed using galvanised or stainless-steel fixings to prevent rust.

For timber products to comply with the guarantee, customers must ensure any ends that are cut on site (such as cutting a panel width to size) are treated with end grain preservative, that panels are installed onto gravel boards which have been specifically treated for ground contact, and that products are installed correctly.

Installation, use and maintenance

Provided the products included in the guarantee have been installed, used and maintained in accordance with our instructions, Jacksons Fencing will repair or replace items with faults or defects at our discretion.
