A school in Shropshire threatened with closure has said its school fencing is more than capable of protecting children and sees little wrong with its current condition.
Shropshire Council is planning to close Ifton Heath primary school in St Martins, Oswestry, the BBC reports.
If this goes ahead it will mean pupils will move to Rhyn Park school, which takes children aged up to 16.
The council is currently holding a public consultation on the proposed closure which will run until April 8th.
Ifton Heath school's business manager, Joy Higginson, said the current site was secure, with "fantastic" grounds.
"Look at the security. We've got fencing all the way round, which we've recently paid for," she told the BBC.
The council said its concern was getting the best outcome for the children.
A final decision is expected in July.
